Page for the Cure

On Saturday, April 6, 2013 the Maple Grove Moms Club will once again be hosting the annual Page for the Cure scrapbooking fundraiser to raise funds for the local chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This will be the 12th annual event and once again promises to be full of lots of exciting things. The event will be held at the Moundsview Community Center and will run for 12 hours. They will offer all 3 meals for the day and have a host of door prizes to give away. Once again there will be vendors selling scrapbook related items in case you forgot something or if you just want to add products to your inventory. Two massage therapists will be on hand offering seated chair massages when a needed break may be necessary. Our speaker this year will be Joyce Sobatta with Lady Lymph and Healthy Girls Breast Oils. She will be talking about Natural Breast Health. Don’t forget to bring some extra cash on hand for the over 65 beautiful silent auction baskets that will be available along with other items you have a chance to win. Each participant will receive a goodie bag filled with coupons and free items from local vendors and restaurants. Sign up early to get in for the early bird registration or go to our website at www.pageforthecure.org for a registration form.

Press Release for Page for the Cure ~ March 10, 2012
Once again Page for the Cure, the fundraiser for the Minnesota affiliate of Komen for the Cure was a great success. We were able to raise over $12,000 to help with research, support and the many needs of the Minnesota cancer community. This was the event’s 11th year and to date has raised over $135,000. 125 women scrapbooked while enjoying all three meals for the day along with wonderful conversations. There were vendors available to sell scrapbook related items and over 65 silent auction items to bid on. Three cancer survivors shared their stories of their journey with cancer and while each story was completely different there was one major theme. “Be your own advocate. Listen to your body and take action”. Each year we make wonderful strides in Breast Cancer research and we will continue to work hard on raising money until there is a cure. Many of the women who attended the event have come before. One attendee is a current 32 year survivor! For more information and pictures of the event, you can go to www.pageforthecure.org.

We have helped raise over $150,000 for the local chapter of Komen for the Cure MN.
